An easy-to-use tool for fans to create personalized sports videos

Prof. Hanspeter Pfister

An Wang Professor of Computer Science,

John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences

Current high-quality video editing tools are expensive and difficult to use, which limits the content individual fans can create. The team in Hanspeter Pfister’s laboratory is developing an easy-to-use video editing tool for creating and editing engaging sports videos. Augmented sports videos incorporate sports data into the video, for example highlighting a team's tactics or displaying a player's statistics alongside an event. The lab is developing advanced AI techniques to simplify the process for creators to provide personalized content for fans with embedded visualizations and video effects.

They are seeking partners to develop a prototype app for commercialization.
