About the event

In celebration of Female Founder's Day, join the Lab-to-Launch Lounge series featuring Josie Kishi, PhD, CTO and Co-Founder/CEO of Digital Biology, and Jessica Sang, Co-Founder/CEO of Accure Health. Explore their journey from Harvard labs to CxO roles: Learn their insights, regrets, and student advice.

This event is in partnership with the HBS Tech Club, fostering collaboration between Harvard's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and Harvard Business School (HBS). Whether you have an idea, a running venture, or are looking for a potential co-founder, we encourage you to join us as we unite engineers with innovative ideas and business students ready to bring those ideas to life.

The Lab-to-Launch Lounge (LLL) series brings Harvard graduate students in CxO roles back to campus to hear how they launched their research out from Harvard labs:

* how did they get here

* what would they do differently--and what they would not do at all--if a student again

* anything else on your mind

Join the discussion, meet fun people, grab a bite, and leave with new ideas. Open to the Harvard community.

Josie Kishi, Ph.D. received her B.S. with honors from Caltech, where she studied Computer Science, and a Ph.D. from Harvard, in Systems Biology. As a PhD student and later a postdoctoral fellow at the Wyss Institute, she developed new methods for single-stranded DNA synthesis as well as new tools for DNA-based imaging and sequencing. Her latest research has focused on the development of new spatial sequencing technologies, which allow microscopy imaging and next generation sequencing (NGS) data to be captured from the same cells. She is an inventor on 10+ patents pending and is now Co-Founder and CEO of Digital Biology, Inc

Jessica Sang is Co-Founder and CEO of Accure Health ("Accure"), a Harvard i-Lab/Life Lab alumni company. Prior to founding Accure, Jessica built extensive experience in technology development and commercialization through her academic and industry endeavors at Harvard and Genentech. She currently serves on NIH and SBIR Grant review study sections and also as a Principal Investigator (PI). She received her Ph.D. from University of Washington/ Fred Hutch, where she was an HHMI Graduate Fellow. Jessica is a scientist and inventor with numerous patents and publications, including first-author publications in Science and Cell. As an entrepreneur, she believes in “Cure through Accuracy”, thus the company name “Accure”.
