Dmitry Popov, Researcher at Harvard BioDesign Lab, Co-Founder and CEO at WurQ

WurQ, launched in 2023, brings AI and exercise science to existing wearables to quantify physical work, and assess the amount, quality, and intensity. Backed by the National Science Foundation and NFL players Health Study during its research phase, the startup has developed core expertise around capturing, processing and interpreting movement data. They've developed a two-sensor system able to capture movement data, such as body orientation and acceleration, that is then fed into deep learning and signal processing algorithms to analyze movements. Their vision is to enable seamless feedback during strength workouts and scale gamification, accountability, and guidance across fitness and healthcare ecosystems.
